MANILA — President Rodrigo Duterte’s common-law wife Ma. Cielo “Honeylet” Avanceña will be the guest of honor in the formal launching of the community-based recovery and wellness program for drug users dubbed “Life After Tokhang” (LIFT) in simple ceremonies in Camp Crame on Monday, October 2.

LIFT is the recovery and wellness program initiated by the Philippine National Police (PNP) that seeks to assist and facilitate recovery from drug abuse and dependence.

As guest of honor, Avanceña will witness the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement between the PNP and the NGO Life Rispondé Foundation Corporation to set into motion the PNP LIFT Program for drug users.

According to Police Director Noel Constantino, PNP Director for Police Community Relations (DPCR), the PNP LIFT Program complements the drug rehabilitation and treatment program of the Department of Health (DOH).

Rispondé Foundation is a duly-registered non-stock and non-profit foundation that has been successfully conducting community-based rehabilitation and outpatient recovery programs for drug use. (PNP-PIO/PNA)
