PRRD reviews next PNP Chief recommendations

President Rodrigo Duterte is carefully reviewing the qualifications of the nominees for the chief PNP post. Currently vying for the position are Lt. Gen. Archie Francisco Gamboa, Gen. Camilo Pancratius Cascolan and Maj. Gen. Guillermo Lorenzo Eleazar. Meanwhile, the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Eduardo Año said that there is no need to rush the President in naming the next PNP Chief. Aside from the nominees, the President can still appoint a new chief other than the three candidates provided that they are either within the ranks of one-star or police brigadier general and above.
