PRRD confers Order of Sikatuna with Datu Rank on outgoing US Ambassador

President Rodrigo R. Duterte conferred the Order of Sikatuna with the rank of Datu or gold distinction on outgoing US Ambassador to the Philippines Sung Kim.

Outgoing US Ambassador Sung Kim visited Malacañang Monday as part of his farewell call to the Chief Executive.

According to the Office of the President, “The President expressed appreciation for Ambassador Kim’s vital contributions in strengthening the alliance and partnership between the Philippines and the United States.”

Ambassador Kim has also thanked the Chief Executive for a “productive bilateral engagement with the Philippines.” The outgoing ambassador has served the country for four years and various significant projects have been fulfilled including the historical return of the Balangiga Bells to Eastern Samar in December 2018. – Report from Mela LesmorasPRRD confers Order of Sikatuna with Datu Rank on outgoing US Ambassador
