PRRD, IATF-EID to meet on new quarantine classifications after Christmas

President Rodrigo R. Duterte will be meeting with the members of the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID) again after Christmas to discuss the quarantine status of various areas in January 2021.

According to Cabinet Secretary and IATF-EID Co-Chairman Karlo Nograles, the meeting may take place either on December 28 or December 29 to look into the data of all regions and identify the areas that will be placed under strict quarantine status. President Duterte may approve the new quarantine classifications on December 31.

Meanwhile, Department of National Defense (DND) Secretary Delfin Lorenzana earlier pointed out that there is no truth about the spreading information that Metro Manila will be under Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine (MECQ). He dismissed this as a rumor. –PTV News
