President Rodrigo R. Duterte has joined the commemoration of the 34th anniversary of the EDSA People Power Revolution.
In the message of the President, the EDSA People Power Revolution remains as one of the most important part on the country’s attainment of freedom from a dictatorship. It symbolizes the return of democracy in the country.
Along with the commemoration, President Duterte hopes the courage and determination of the Filipinos still remain after the People Power Revolution to fight for the country’s liberty.
President Duterte hopes for the continued unity of the Filipinos despite different beliefs and contrasting views to guarantee the legacy of the EDSA People Power Revolution remains for a long time.
According to Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo, the President has no activities on the holiday, but is always present to send out his message to the Filipinos.
