PRRD lauds Office of the Ombudsman for quick response on PhilHealth anomalies

President Rodrigo R. Duterte hopes for the consistent cooperation between the Executive branch and the Office of the Ombudsman in resolving the problems in government.

The President has particularly lauded its quick response regarding the corruption within the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) stating that Ombudsman Samuel Martires is a “very reasonable man.”

“It’s a very commendable act of the Ombudsman in trying to go out and help. To give thanks to you, mahirap (it’s hard), I do not even know him. I do not know him, pero ganoon ang nakuha mong reception sa kanya (but that’s the reception I get from him). It’s a matter of human, I’d like to thank you for that.”

Meanwhile, President Duterte has assured that the government will constantly focus on the issue until it is resolved. – Report from Mela Lesmoras
