President Rodrigo R. Duterte stated that the local government units (LGUs) play a big role in lessening the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) transmission.
In his weekly “Talk to the People,” President Duterte pointed out the importance of the barangays in the fight against COVID-19 especially if barangay captains “really work at it”.
“For example, in Manila, kung talagang true to life itong mga barangay captain na ito, ‘yong political will nila to see to it that everybody gets the vaccine, minus the number, the certain percentage that do not want it (For example, in Manila, if the barangay captains are really true to life, their political will is to see to it that everybody gets the vaccine, minus the number, the certain percentage that do not want it).”
