PRRD slams Robredo anew over his vaccination

President Rodrigo Duterte on Monday night hit back anew at Vice President Leni Robredo, saying that she is rushing him to get vaccinated when he is not included in the priority list for CoronaVac.

“You are baiting me. Alam mo kung bakit? Nagdududa ka kasi na nagpabakuna na ako kasama ng mga sundalo (You know why? Because you are suspecting that I have been vaccinated with soldiers),” Pres. Duterte raised.

“You seem to have an angelic face but a devilish mind… You know what? Because you want to be relevant here. Gusto mong sumali sa laro na para mapakinggan ka rin (You want to get in the game so you can be heard),” he pointed out.

The Chief Executive said he also wants the vice president to be present when he is inoculated against the deadly virus.

“Ngayon gusto ko ‘pag mag-injection ako nandiyan ka, dito sa Malacañang… sabihin ko matanda naman ako, kalahati lang ang akin, ipastada mo ‘yong… doon iturok sa iyo to add protection to your good health (I want you to be around when I get vaccinated in Malacañang… I will tell them I would only get half since I am old, the other half will be for you to add protection to your good health),” he offered.

In defense of Robredo, opposition Senator Francis Pangilinan said the only “V” that must be feared is the virus and not the vice president”.

Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque disclosed on Tuesday that the Sinopharm vaccine has been recommended for the president and he is only waiting for its approval.

Sec. Roque explained they were not yet vaccinated since the initial rollout is complying with the priority list of the Interim National Immunization Technical Advisory Group. – Report from Mela Lesmoras
