PRRD to meet IATF, health experts tomorrow

President Rodrigo Duterte has called for a meeting in short notice together with the members of the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID) and infectious disease experts.

Senator Bong Go confirmed that attendees of the meeting set tomorrow will be tackling the new COVID-19 strain and its possible effect on the country. This will be held in Malacañang.

The lawmakers admitted that he and the Chief Executive have been worried about this latest development.

Earlier, Pres. Duterte has already issued the directive to impose a temporary travel ban for travelers from the United Kingdom effective until December 31 to keep the new strain from entering the Philippines. – PTV News
