PRRD to visit wake of PDEA agents killed in Lanao Sur ambush

COTABATO CITY–President Rodrigo Roa Duterte is set to visit Camp Siongco, the headquarters of the Army’s 6th Infantry Division in Datu Odin Sinsuat in Maguindanao province to attend the wake of the five Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) agents killed in an ambush in Lanao del Sur recently.

Capt. Arvin John Encinas, the Army’s 6th Infantry Division spokesperson, said the President would condole with the bereaved families of the slain PDEA agents at the 6ID chapel inside the camp.

The President is also expected to hand over the Order of Lapu-Lapu with the rank of Kalasag to the dependents of the five PDEA agents.

The recipients of the posthumous recognition are Vencio P. Ardepolla of Davao City, Laurice Joy J. Amar of Isulan, Sultan Kudarat, Kenneth C. Capuno of Laguna City, Diobel B. Pacinio of Nasipit, Agusan del Sur, and Khristine Mae A. Torlao of Lupon, Davao del Oriental.

Two other victims survived the ambush and are currently undergoing treatment at an undisclosed hospital.
