PRRD visits wake of former CDO mayor’s wife

MANILA – President Rodrigo R. Duterte on Tuesday evening paid his last respects to the late Solona Canoy, the wife of former Cagayan de Oro City Mayor Reuben Canoy.

Duterte condoled with the family of the former mayor and talked to him and other family members for more than an hour during his visit to the wake in Cagayan de Oro City.

Mrs. Canoy passed away on February 3 due to cardiac arrest. She was 94.

She was the president and owner of the International School of Cagayan de Oro.

Reuben Canoy is a member of the Consultative Committee (ConCom) tasked by the President to draft the proposed federal Constitution.

Duterte, a former long-time mayor of Davao City, was accompanied by former Special Assistant to the President Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go.
