PTV documentary ‘Mukha ng Pandemya’ wins at PMPC Star Awards for TV

People Television, Inc.’s COVID-19 documentary “Mukha ng Pandemya” emerged victorious at the 35th Philippine Movie Press Club (PMPC) Star Awards for Television on Saturday, Jan. 28.

The “Mukha ng Pandemya,” which was named “Best Documentary Special” features the resilience of Filipinos in facing the challenges brought by the COVID-19 pandemic.

PTV News Tonight anchor Jose Guilas was also hailed as “Best Male Newscaster.”

Meanwhile, Rise and Shine Pilipinas was nominated as “Best Morning Show” and its hosts Diane Querrer, Gab Bayan, and Audrey Gorriceta as “Best Morning Show Hosts.”

PTV’s Public Briefing #LagingHandaPH was also nominated as “Best Public Service Program” as well as its hosts, former Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) Secretary Sec. Martin Andanar and Undersecretary Rocky Ignacio as “Best Public Service Program Hosts.”

PTV News Tonight was also nominated in the “Best News Program” category, while PTV host Aljo Bendijo was nominated in the “Best Male Newscaster” category.

PTV was also among the nominees in the “Best TV Station.” category.
