Pump prices to go up again Tuesday

MANILA — A week after implementing a substantial rollback, oil firms will once again turn the tables on the consuming public with another oil price hike on Tuesday, July 3.

In separate text messages to journalists, major as well as independent oil companies announced a PHP0.65/liter increase in unleaded gasoline, PHP0.55/liter in diesel and PHP0.70/liter in kerosene.

The price adjustments will be effective around 6:00 a.m. for most oil firms.

As in the past, oil executives explained that the price adjustments reflect movements in the international petroleum market which they are simply passing on to local consumers. (Ma. Cristina Arayata/PNA)
