Pump prices up Tuesday

By Joann Villanueva/Philippine News Agency

MANILA — Pump prices will be heading up again this week, as several oil companies separately announced increases to simultaneously take effect at 6 a.m. on Tuesday, April 9.

Petron , Shell Philippines, PTT Philippines, Seaoil, Petro Gazz, and Flying V said in text messages to reporters that gasoline prices will be going up by 25 centavos per liter while diesel will increase by 20 centavos per liter.

Companies carrying kerosene will also make upward adjustments of 10 centavos per liter.

This comes as a reversal after the same oil firms rolled back the prices of liquid fuels last week.

“These adjustments are in line with the developments in the international market, as major oil exporting countries continue to cut supply to address the slide in oil prices in 2018,” an oil executive explained.
