PUV modernization pushes through despite opposition

The PUV modernization program continues despite opposition. Department of Transportation Undersecretary Mark de Leon states that PUVM is the key to a better transportation system in the country, adding that jeepneys are not the only systems targeted by PUVM. Relating to this, Lipa City, Batangas has launched the “Tsuper Iskolar” Program in CALABARZON, a project of the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) meant for jeepney drivers, operators, and their families, provided for free by the government.
