MANILA — Scattered rains will continue to prevail over most parts of the archipelago, state weather agency Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said Sunday.

Typhoon “Paolo” already left the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) Sunday morning. However, it will still cause cloudy skies with scattered rains over Mindanao, western Visayas and Palawan.

“Paolo” was last located at 1,080 kilometers northeast of Basco, Batanes, heading northeast at 27 kph. It has maximum sustained winds of 185 kph near the center, and gustiness of up to 225 kph.

Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will also experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms, according to PAGASA.

Moderate to strong winds will continue to prevail over the country with slight to moderate seas, the agency added. (PNA)
