Rains over Luzon, the Visayas on Saturday

MANILA — The tail-end of a cold front affecting eastern Visayas and the northeast monsoon affecting Luzon and the Visayas will bring rains over these islands, the weather bureau said on Saturday.

The Visayas and the Caraga region will experience cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms, while Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains, based on the forecast of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration’s (PAGASA).

The rest of Mindanao will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies, with isolated rain showers caused by localized thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, strong winds will blow over the eastern section of Luzon, the Visayas and Mindanao. Coastal waters along these areas will be rough.

Elsewhere, winds will be moderate to strong with moderate to rough seas, PAGASA said.
