MANILA — Residents of Palawan and provinces in the Visayas and Mindanao would have to brace for a rainy Tuesday due to the trough of a low pressure area (LPA), the weather bureau said.

In its 4 a.m. weather bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said the LPA was last spotted 235 kilometers east southeast of Davao City, Davao del Sur.

PAGASA weather specialist Ezra Bulquerin said the LPA is expected to cross the landmass of Mindanao and has a slim chance of developing into a tropical depression.

Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated light rains due to the northeast monsoon.

Northern Luzon and the eastern sections of Central Luzon and Southern Luzon, the Visayas and  Mindanao will have moderate or strong winds prevailing from northeast with moderate to rough coastal waters.

Temperature in Metro Manila ranges from 23-32 degrees Celsius; Tuguegarao City 21-32 degrees Celsius; Baguio City 14-26 degrees Celsius; Angeles City 24-32 degrees Celsius; Lipa City 24-31 degrees Celsius; Metro Cebu 25-31 degrees Celsius; and Metro Davao 25-31 degrees Celsius.
