Rainy ‘Undas’ in parts of Luzon due to ‘Yutu’

MANILA — Despite its exit from the Philippine Area of Responsibility, the trough of severe tropical storm “Yutu” (“Rosita”) continues to affect parts of northern Luzon on All Saints’ Day.

In its 4 a.m. weather bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geographical and Astronomical Services (PAGASA) said the regions of Ilocos and Cordillera, Batanes and Babuyan Group of Islands will experience cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms caused by “Yutu”.

“Yutu” was last eyed at 402 kilometers west northwest of Laoag City, Ilocos Norte, packing maximum sustained winds of up to 90 kilometers per hour (kph) and gusts of up to 115 kph.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will generally be sunny or partly cloudy, to at times, with isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms.

Visayas and Mindanao will have light to occasionally moderate rain due to the southward migration of the tail-end of the cold front.

The northern and western section of northern Luzon will face strong to very strong winds from the
east to southeast with rough to very rough coastal waters.

Temperature in Metro Manila ranges from 25-32 degrees Celsius; Tuguegarao City 23-32 degrees Celsius; Baguio City 16-19 degrees Celsius; Angeles City 24-31 degrees Celsius; Lipa City 24-32 degrees Celsius; Metro Cebu 25-32 degrees Celsius; and Metro Davao 26-34 degrees Celsius. (Lily Ramos/PNA)
