Raps filed vs 21 protesters in QC

The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) stated that the 21 individuals who protested at North EDSA, Quezon City have been been indicted.

They were charged for violations of RA 11469 (Bayanihan to Heal as One Act), RA 11332 (Response to Notifiable diseases, epidemics, and health events of Public Health Concern), and Article 151 of the Revised Penal Code (Disobedience to Persons in Authority).

The NCRPO said that the Kadamay group is behind the protest and urged the residents of Sitio San Roque to join.

NCRPO Chief Police Major General Debold Sinas has asked the public to refrain from mass gatherings during the Enhanced Community Quarantine. He added that there is a more peaceful way to express sentiments.

The NCRPO has clarified that they will implement maximum tolerance on arresting individuals who will partake in mass gatherings and no shoot-to-kill order will occur based on the guidance of the Philippine National Police (PNP).
