RDC slates 5th Calabarzon research, statistics forum

IMUS CITY, Cavite – Recognizing that innovations require research and development efforts, the Calabarzon Regional Development Council (RDC) will hold its 5th Calabarzon Research and Statistics (R&S) Forum at the Pablo Borbon Main I of the Batangas State University (BSU) in Batangas City on October 18.

Implemented through RDC’s Regional Research Committee (RRC), “the forum aims to promote and recognize research studies in Calabarzon in relation to the Region’s Development Research Agenda,” according to the R&S Forum Secretariat.

The forum aims to forge rapid build-up of research and development and create a culture of research and innovations in the region. With the theme, “Innovations Towards Competitiveness”, the R&S Secretariat also stressed innovations are key to improving the country’s competitiveness in the global economy, which can be achieved through research and development efforts by researchers.

The invited forum resource speakers include National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) Undersecretary Adoracion M. Navarro, Department of Trade and Industry Assistant Secretary Rafaelita Aldaba, former NEDA secretary Cielito F. Habito, and De La Salle University’s Prof. Caesar Cororaton. (Gladys Pino/PNA)
