Reports on teachers doing house-to-house enrollment denied

The Department of Education (DepEd) denied ordering teachers to resort to go house-to-house to convince students to enroll.

The education department claimed the reports have no basis based on the investigation it conducted. It has not received any complaints from teachers from the location mentioned.
As of Thursday, there are 17.3 million enrollees under the basic education, 16.5 million of them enrolled in public schools.

Meanwhile, the DepEd is looking for 10,000 teachers for school year 2020 to 2021.
