Rescue operations saves over 800 families in Zamboanga

The Philippine Coastguard Quick Response Team and Coastguard District South Western Mindanao conducted rescue operations to help those affected by typhoon Marilyn. 800 families have been evacuated from Barangay Tumaga, Zamboanga City, and took shelter in Tumaga Gym. 8 families from Barangay Putik, over 100 families from Barangay Santa Maria, and over 300 individuals from Barangay Tubungan have been transferred to the Tubungan Elementary School Evacuation Center for safety.
