Rescued Philippine eagle released to Mt. Busa

Philippine Eagle Foundation (PEF) released on Monday, June 13, rescued Philippine eagle “Salagbanog” back to its natural home in Mount Busa in Barangay Upo, Maitum, Sarangani Province.

“Salagbanog” was rescued by a T’boli farmer last year after it was found trapped in rattan vines near Salagbanong Falls in Sarangani.

The release of Salagbanog is the highlight of Philippine Eagle Week celebration.

The Department and Natural Resources (DENR), together with Sarangani local government units and PEF, held an information, communication, and education (IEC) drive among the residents before they released “Salagbanog.”  – gb
