Estimated jab wastage at 1.54%
The Department of Health and the National Task Force Against COVID-19 said only 1.54% of the country’s vaccine supplies were wasted as of April 3, 2022, following reports that around 27 million COVID-19 vaccine doses are set to expire in July.
The government said it is resorting to other measures to strengthen vaccine administration, including house-to-house vaccination and conducting special vaccination days.
PRRD still not endorsing any prexy bet
President Rodrigo Duterte said he is not endorsing any top national position candidate for the 2022 elections except for her daughter, Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte who is vying for the vice presidency.
Duterte has said many times in his recent speeches that he is not keen on endorsing any presidential bet to maintain his neutrality.
PRRD wants Batangas evacuation centers as prototype for next projects
President Rodrigo Duterte wants the newly inaugurated evacuation center in Batangas province to become the “template” for future construction of evacuation facilities.
Duterte said during his inspection of the Mataasnakahoy Evacuation Center on April 4 that the facility can accommodate 150 families or 600 individuals during the calamities.
Ballot printing done, VCM deployment begins
The Commission on Elections (Comelec) has completed the printing of more than 67 million ballots to be used in the May 9 national and local elections late night of April 2.
Comelec also started the delivery of vote counting machines and other election paraphernalia to Comelec hubs in Mindanao with a ceremonial sealing of trucks on April 2 midnight.
