Robredo accepts anti-drug post

Vice President Leonor “Leni” Robredo accepts the designation as co-chairperson of the Inter-agency Committee on Anti-illegal Drugs (ICAD), which was authored by President Rodrigo Duterte. She reasons that if said appointment is the only avenue towards thwarting the murder of innocents and indicting erring individuals, she will undertake the job. She adds that right at the outset, she desires an upright campaign against illegal drugs; to stop the killings of innocents; to make abusive officials liable, such as the “ninja cops” and the individuals whom permitted the entry of tons of illicit drugs; to give justice to the families of slain, sinless individuals; and pursue illegal drug honchos whom really impair the society. The acceptance of the designation is a manifestation of Vice President Robredo’s tight grip on her principles.
