Roque says ATB not yet on PRRD’s table

Malacañang has expressed appreciation for the continued support it is receiving on the Anti-Terrorism Bill but Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque clarified President Rodrigo R. Duterte has not decided on it yet.

Roque disclosed on Tuesday that 784 governors and mayors have expressed support on the proposed law. Concerned authorities are currently reviewing the bill’s content and the copy has yet to reach the President.

“Bagama’t nasa Malacañang na ang Anti-Terror Bill, siguro po pinag-aaralan pa ng Office of the Executive Secretary ang sinumiteng panukalang batas dahil wala pa po mismo sa lamesa ng Presidente (Although the Anti-Terror Bill is now in Malacaῆang, the Office of the Executive Secretary might still be reviewing it since it is has not yet reached the President’s table),” Roque said.

“Pero Monday lang naman po kahapon at dumating ang Presidente ng Sunday. So hindi pa niya siguro nakikita or hindi pa po naita-transmit sa kaniyang lamesa for signature (Yesterday is just Monday and the President arrived on Sunday. So maybe he has not yet seen it or it has not been transmitted yet for his signature),” he added.
