SAP Go vows punishment for perpetrators of Sultan Kudarat blast

ISLAND GARDEN CITY OF SAMAL, Davao del Norte – Special Assistant to the President (SAP) Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go vowed to bring to justice the perpetrators of the deadly explosion in Isulan, Sultan Kudarat that left two civilians dead and 37 others injured.

“Makakaasa po kayo na tutukan ng gobyerno ang maagang paglutas ng insidenteng ito at ang perpetrators na mga terorista will be punished (Rest assured that the government will focus on the early solution of the incident and the perpetrators will be punished),” he told reporters in an interview on the sidelines of the opening of the Philippine National Bank (PNB) in Babak, here on Wednesday.

Among the wounded are two members of the Army’s 33rd Infantry Battalion.

Go said he was informed there are already suspects in the incident adding was not at liberty to divulge information.

“Meron ng mga na identified na mga suspeks pero di ko pwedeng sabihin. Hayaan na po natin ang mga police at militar tungkol dito (There are already identified suspects but allow the police and the military to do it),” he added.

Go was supposed to go to Isulan on Thursday, August 30, as the special guest for the town’s 61st foundation anniversary and the 7th Hamungaya Festival. He, however, said he sent a representative because he was scheduled for Cebu to accompany President Rodrigo Duterte.

He assured the victims of government support, saying his office has already sent a team to coordinate with the local government.

“Tutulong po ang gobyerno. Lahat gagawin ng gobyerno (The government will help. The government will do everything),” he said. (Lilian C. Mellejor/PNA)
