SC suspends court work Thursday afternoon

MANILA, July 27 — Continuous rains brought by the southwest monsoon, enhanced by Tropical Storm Gorio, have caused floods in parts of Metro Manila, prompting the Supreme Court to announce the suspension of court work at 1 p.m. Thursday.

“Due to continuing effects of Typhoon Gorio, work in all court in the National Capital Region is suspended starting 1 p.m. today,” the SC Public Information Office said in a statement.

The office added that for courts in other affected areas, the Executive Judge may exercise discretion. (Christopher Lloyd T. Caliwan/PNA)
