MANILA — Go For Gold Philippines on Tuesday launched a talent search to discover outstanding triathletes.

Go For Gold program head Jeremy Go said the top male and female competitors, after a series of races co-organized by Sunrise Sprint and Swim-Bike-Run PH, will be offered a contract to become part of the Team Go For Gold.

The contract includes PHP100,000 in cash plus a Storck bike and a specially-crafted Go For Gold trophy.

“We are looking to develop future national athletes. There is no shortcut toward success. But if your dream is to be part of Go For Gold Philippines, then this might be your time to shine,” Go said during the press conference held at the Rudy Project store inside the Uptown Mall in BGC, Taguig City.

The six races will be held in Cebu (April 28); Vermosa Sports Hub, Cavite (May 19); Nuvali, Laguna (June 16); Davao (July 7); Clark, Pampanga (July 28); and Subic, Zambales (November 4).

The 10 fastest clockings in both men and women in the open category will get corresponding points according to their order of finish.

The winners will be announced after the November 4 race.
