MANILA — Filipinos gave “good” satisfaction ratings to the Senate, House of Representatives, Supreme Court and the Duterte Cabinet, latest Social Weather Stations (SWS) report showed.
Based on a survey conducted Sept. 15 to 23 and published on Saturday (Oct. 20), the Senate scored a 48 satisfaction rating, higher by seven points, while the House of Representatives scored 36, up by 11 points.
Meanwhile, the Supreme Court scored 31 higher by 12 points, while the Cabinet scored 32, up by six points.
The Senate’s seven-point rise was due to increases of 13 points in Balance Luzon, and 12 points in Mindanao, combined with decreases of 9 points in Metro Manila and one point in the Visayas.
By class, the Senate’s net satisfaction rating stayed good from June to September among class D, up by 11 points from 38 to 49, and among class E, hardly moving from 47 to 46.
However, it fell from very good to good among classes ABC, down by 16 points from 54 in June to 38 in September.
At the House, the 11-point rise was due to increases of 21 points in Balance Luzon, and 15 points in Mindanao, combined with decreases of two points in the Visayas, and 10 points in Metro Manila.
By class, it rose by 14 points among class D from moderate 21 in June to good 35 in September.
It stayed good among class E, hardly moving from 40 to 41. However, it fell by 16 points among classes ABC from good 43 to moderate 27.
The Supreme Court’s 12-point improvement was due to increases in all areas.
By class, it rose from moderate to good among class D, up by 17 points from 15 in June to 32 in September, and in class E, up by 8 points from 26 to 34.
However, it dropped by two grades from good to neutral among class ABC, down by 34 points from 43 to nine.
The six-point improvement the Cabinet’s rating was due to increases of 11 points in Balance Luzon, eight points in Mindanao, and six points in the Visayas, combined with a five-point decrease in Metro Manila.
By class, it rose from moderate to good among class D, up by 12 points from 21 in June to 33 in September.
It fell, however, from good to moderate among class E, down by four points from 33 to 21. It fell by two grades from very good to moderate among classes ABC, down by 29 points from 56 to 27.
