Senate to pass Bayanihan 2 Bill

Senate President Vicente Sotto III has confirmed that the Senate will pass the “Bayanihan to Recover as One Act” in the third and final reading after the 5th State of the Nation Address of President Rodrigo R. Duterte.

The Bayanihan 2 Bill has not been passed since the Executive Department has not certified it as urgent.

Under Bayanihan 2, law enforcers no longer have the power to arrest and punish those who violate quarantine protocols.
