Senator Go responded on overpriced SEA games facilities

During the Senate hearing on the budget of the Bases Conversion and Development Authority, Senator Christopher Go answered the statements of Senator Franklin Drilon on said monetary allocation, particularly on the Southeast Asian (SEA) Games funds. Senator Drilon said that the PHP16.5 billion expenditure on the hosting of the Southeast Asian (SEA) Games was overpriced. He explained that the PHP50 million can instead be utilized for the construction of classrooms.

Senator Go responded by arguing that the sports facility will be used continually, especially by Filipino athletes. He also mentioned that President Rodrigo Duterte has instructed the continuing exploitation of the same. He also posed a rhetorical question for his colleagues, asking if they do not want a world-class sports facility. He, finally, lauded the service of the current administration.
