Several int’l, domestic flights cancelled due to bad weather

MANILA — Several international and domestic flights were cancelled on Wednesday due to bad weather, the Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) said.

The cancelled flights were Philippine Airlines (PR) 432, PR 424 Manila-Tokyo; Cebu Pacific (5J) 468 Iloilo-Manila, 5J 480 Bacolod-Manila; SkyJet (M8) 715/716 Manila-Busuanga-Manila; Air Asia (Z2) 424/425 Manila-Puerto Princesa-Manila, and Z2 324/325 Manila-Tacloban-Manila.

The latest bulletin from the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said Tropical Depression Karding has slightly intensified while remaining almost stationary over the Philippine Sea.

“Karding” has maximum sustained winds of 60 kilometers per hour, and gustiness of up to 75 kph. It was last eyed at 1,135 kilometers east of Basco, Batanes, PAGASA added. (Ma. Cristina Arayata/PNA)
