Several areas in Luzon are now under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal (TCWS) No. 2 as Tropical Storm Enteng (international name: Yagi) maintains its strength and enhances the southwest monsoon or habagat, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said Monday.
In its tropical cyclone bulletin issued at 9:00 a.m., PAGASA said Enteng was located 100 kilometers (km) north northwest of Daet, Camarines Norte or 115 km east northeast of Infanta, Quezon, moving northwestward at 15 kilometers per hour (kph).
The tropical storm packs maximum sustained winds of 75 kph near its center and gustiness of up to 90 kph.

In its track forecast, PAGASA said Enteng could make landfall over Isabela or Cagayan on Monday afternoon or evening as it moves generally northwestward in the 24 hours.
“Should the forecast track shift further to the west, landfall over the northern portion of Aurora is not ruled out,” it also said.
Enteng also enhances habagat which will cause moderate to intense rainfall in other areas of Luzon and the Visayas, especially along the western portions, the state weather bureau added.
Both the enhanced habagat and TS Enteng will also bring strong to gale-force gusts in Ilocos Region, Zambales, Bataan, Pampanga, Aurora, Bulacan, Metro Manila, Calabarzon, Mimaropa, Bicol Region, and the Visayas.
Gale warning has also been raised over the eastern seaboard of Luzon and the southern seaboard of Southern Luzon.
Small seacrafts, including all types of motor bancas are also advised against sailing as moderate to rough seas are forecast in the northern seaboard of Northern Luzon, the western seaboard of Southern Luzon, the western seaboard of Central Luzon, the western seaboard of Southern Luzon, and the seaboards of Western Visayas.
“Mariners of small seacrafts, including all types of motor bancas, are advised not to venture out to sea under these conditions, especially if inexperienced or operating ill-equipped vessels,” PAGASA said.
