Singapore in need of more than 200 vaccinators

The Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO) in Singapore said the city-state is in need of more than 200 vaccinators for their vaccination program.

According to a report from the Philippine News Agency (PNA), Labor Attaché Saul de Vries said they have approved a job order for a total of 230 vaccinators.

“Salary ranges from 1,800 to 2,500 Singapore dollars or a minimum of ₱63,000,” said De Vries in the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) virtual forum on Friday (June 4).

However, Filipinos who will be wanting to apply for the job will have to wait as the government restricted the entry of foreign workers, particularly from those countries that have a high-risk COVID-19 situation.

He said the new curbs were implemented due to a reemergence of COVID-19 cases among communities and clusters.

Still, De Vries is optimistic that Singapore will issue a new policy by mid-June to the month of July as the government closely monitors the local and global pandemic situation.

As of the latest directive, only travelers from Australia, Brunei, Mainland China, New Zealand, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau can enter Singapore.

Singapore’s latest tally of COVID-19 cases stands at 62,158 as at June 4. rir
