SMB throws victory party for fans, employees

MANILA — In celebration of the San Miguel Beermen’s historic PBA Philippine Cup four-peat, the company threw a victory party for its employees, team management, players, and their fans at its main office in Mandaluyong on Tuesday night.

Present during the victory party were SMC president Ramon Ang and San Miguel Brewery president Bobby Huang.

Everyone was treated to a sumptuous dinner while being serenaded by local band Itchyworms.

Fans, on the other hand, got the chance to be up close and personal with players through a meet-and-greet session.

“Masaya kami kasi Nasuklian namin yung magandang alaga sa amin ng San Miguel,” team captain Arwind Santos told PNA during the victory party.

The Beermen, now joined by import Troy Gillenwater, will try to make it two in a row as they will defend their Commissioner’s Cup title in the mid-season conference that will start on April 22.

SMB, however, will only join the fray likely by the middle of May. (Ivan Stewart Saldajeno/PNA)
