Solon says there may be no need for speakership term-sharing

Solons hold different views on the term sharing in the speakership of the Lower House. Anak Kalusugan Representative Mike Defensor sees no need for it since incumbent House Speaker Alan Peter Cayetano has been performing well as House leader. For the Anti-Crime and Terrorism Community Involvement and Support (ACT-CIS) Representative Eric Go Yap, the interest of the majority must be considered in deciding on the matter. Malacañang has earlier renounced any involvement on the term-sharing issue in the Lower Chamber.
