Sotto, Velasco set to meet for ‘legislative matters’

Senate President Vicente Sotto III confirmed that he will be meeting new House Speaker Lord Allan Velasco “after Friday when he promised to pass the budget on third reading”.

“Yes, he got in touch last night. No protocol necessary but we agreed to meet soon to discuss legislative matters,” Sotto disclosed.

Sotto said the new house speaker vowed to pass on third and final reading the proposed 2021 national budget to prevent unwanted circumstances.

After congratulating the latter and wishing him “good luck”, Sotto is looking forward to having a good working relationship with Velasco.
