Southwest monsoon to bring rains in most of PH Tuesday

MANILA—The southwest monsoon will continue to bring light to moderate rains in most parts of the country Tuesday.

In its 4 a.m. forecast, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said Metro Manila, Central Luzon, Calabarzon, the Bicol Region, Mimaropa, Western Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula and the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao, will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms caused by southwest monsoon.

Meanwhile, typhoon “Jebi” (formerly Maymay) is now out of the Philippine Area of Responsibility and was last spotted 1,575 kilometers northeast of extreme northern Luzon, with maximum winds of 160 km/hour, gustiness of up to 195 km/hr and was moving north at 25 km/hr.

Temperature in Metro Manila ranges from 24-31 degrees Celsius; Tuguegarao City, 24-34 degrees Celsius; Baguio City, 16-24 degrees Celsius; Metro Cebu, 26-32 degrees Celsius; and Metro Davao 24-33 degrees Celsius. (Lily Ramos/PNA)
