Southwest monsoon to bring rains in some parts of Luzon

MANILA — The southwest monsoon would continue to bring rain showers in some areas of Luzon on Monday.

In its 4 a.m. weather forecast, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said Batanes, Babuyan Group of Islands, and Palawan will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the southwest monsoon.

PAGASA said other parts of the country, including Metro Manila will have cloudy skies and isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms.

The rainy season has officially started on June 14 but warm and humid weather is expected in several parts of the country while scattered rains would likely come in the afternoon or evening.

Temperature in Metro Manila ranges from 26-34 degrees Celsius; Baguio City 18-23 degrees Celsius; Tuguegarao City 27-35 degrees Celsius; Metro Cebu 27-35 degrees Celsius; and Metro Davao 25-33 degrees Celsius.
