Southwest monsoon to bring rains over southern Luzon, Visayas

MANILA — The southwest monsoon will continue to bring scattered rain showers over southern Luzon and Visayas on Thursday.

The weather bureau also spotted a low pressure area (LPA) last observed at 821 kilometers east of Basco, Batanes as of 4 a.m.

The provinces of Cavite, Batangas and the regions of Mimaropa, Bicol, western and eastern Visayas will have cloudy skies with scattered thunderstorms caused by the southwest monsoon.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms.

Metro Manila temperature ranges from 25-31 degrees Celsius; Tuguegarao City 24-34 degrees Celsius; Baguio City 16-23 degrees Celsius; Angeles City 24-33 degrees Celsius; Lipa City 24-31, Metro Cebu 26-31 Celsius and Metro Davao 25-33 degrees Celsius. (Lily Ramos/PNA)
