Spence Bout, ‘Perfect Ending For Manny Pacquiao’

Known boxing analyst Attorney Ed Tolentino believes that the face-off of 8-Division World Champion Manny Pacquiao with 31-year old World Boxing Council and International Boxing Federation Welterweight Titlist Errol Spence Jr. is the best way for the National Fist to end his boxing career.

Kakaibang laban ito para kay Manny Pacquiao sapagkat  it’s very rare do we see a guy who is on his last legs pero lalaban pa rin siya sa isang top echelon fighter. It’s not everyday that we see it. I-appreciate na natin ito. This could really be his swan song at ito ang magandang swan song. Kung natalo niya ang Spence, para sa akin okay na okay na ito. Perfect na ending na ito, and this will be an ending unlike any other,” Tolentino opined.

But Tolentino raised apprehensions about the dangers it could bring to the 42-year old Pacquiao as Spence is eleven years his junior.

Para sa akin, he has to draw a line. Kailangan …. at the age of 42, napakadelikado na ituloy pa niya ang kanyang career. Either way, pwede na at naka-ukit na ang pangalan niya sa kasaysayan ng boxing.”

Tolentino added that if this will indeed be Pacquiao’s last waltz in the ring, this could shame boxing greats who finished their careers with an exhibition match.
