Spox. Roque, Sec. Galvez: We are managing COVID-19 well

Presidential and Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID) Spokesperson Harry Roque and National Task Force against COVID-19 (NTF) Chief Implementer Carlito Galvez Jr. asserted that the government’s responses against Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) are stringent and effective.

This was in response to the COVID Resilience Ranking issued by the United States news site Bloomberg where the Philippines placed 46th out of 53 countries based on the control of the crisis and the response to its various effects.

“Pinaninindigan po natin that we have managed COVID-19 very well in this country. Nakikita naman po ninyo, bagama’t number 22 na tayo sa buong mundo ay hindi naman po tayo nasa absolute top in terms of numbers (We are insisting that we have managed COVID-19 very well in this country. As you can see, while we are number 22 in the world, we are not on the absolute top in terms of numbers),” Spox. Harry Roque stated.

Nakita po natin na nama-manage po natin ng mabuti (We have managed the virulent virus that entered our country. And now, we can see that even the western countries, Europe, already had their 3rd wave, and also the US. We saw that we can manage it well),” – Report from Mela Lesmoras
