SSL second tranche starts January


The second tranche of the Salary Standardization Law for government employees will be implemented starting January.

This was confirmed by Department of Budget and Management (DBM) Secretary Wendel Avisado after issuing the guidelines for the implementation of second part of the salary hike under Republic Act No. 11466.

According to DBM Sec. Avisado, the fund for the increase will be obtained from the 2021 budget of the agencies. The DBM also released the guidelines and salary schedule for the salary increase of the employees of government owned and controlled corporations and local government units (LGUs).

Under RA 11466, the salary adjustment of government employees including nurses and teachers will be implemented in 4 tranches from 2020 to 2023. – PTV News
