For fiscal year 2020, the ACEA project has a budget of P521,574,000 for the Manila International Container Terminal (MICT), at South Harbor, Port of Manila.

Four other ACEAs will be established at the Cebu International Port; and Ports of Batangas, Subic, and Davao.

Since early 2020, the DA has been coordinating with the Department of Transportation-Philippine Ports Authority (DOTr-PPA) to establish and integrate the country’s first ACEA facility in the current port and quarantine operations.

However, the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between the DA-BAI and MICT, which will commence the facility’s leasing and construction, has yet to be approved by the PPA.
