Taguig City recently launched a “new and innovative” way of inoculating the public against COVID-19.
On May 27, Taguig launched its COVID-19 Vaccination Bus. The bus can accommodate 200 vaccinees per day. According to the city government, it provides easier access to the vaccines especially for “hard-to-reach areas, vulnerable communities,” and individuals who cannot personally go to the vaccination sites.
The Taguig local government unit (LGU) assured “efficiency, safety, and comfort” inside the bus as individuals under the A1, A2, and A3 priority groups receive their vaccination. The Vaccination Bus is currently on its second stop at The Tenement in Western Bicutan to serve as a pop-up vaccination center.
Meanwhile, the LGU ensured that special sites and special lanes are being created for its senior citizens. The city is also preparing for its A4 priority group vaccination. -jlo
