IMUS CITY, Cavite – Old clients of the iconic Island Cove resort, which stopped operations in August this year, are delighted to learn that the former team running the resort is now ‘back on track’ in catering to banquets and social gatherings via a 150-capacity (banquet set up) ISLA Events Center at Tamsui Avenue, Bayan Luma III here.

The fully air-conditioned, bare function hall “allows clients to take control of every aspect of your event, celebration,” said ISLA Events Sales Management Consultant, Jonalyn Agrazada, who served as Island Cove director of sales and marketing, on Tuesday.

Agrazada, who led the ribbon cutting rites Saturday, said the ISLA Events Center comes complete with an outdoor area for cocktail reception and a 30-vehicle parking, plus valet parking for large gatherings.

Eyeing a one-stop, complete events services, the management have tied up with various suppliers to cater to the clients’ events needs: from technical requirements (professional sounds, lights, projection system), documentation (photo and video), flowers and party needs, including production team, food and beverage needs.

“Our goal is to bring the ‘hotel’ standard here, but definitely at a lower cost, thus we take charge in selecting our suppliers and only the ones who are consistent with our level of commitment and standards are accredited,” Agrazada said.

The events center is ideal for meetings, seminars and conferences, including social gatherings like reunions, birthday celebrations and weddings.

The Imus location is just the first of a number of events centers “which our owner, Gilbert Remulla, are eyeing to open,” adds Agrazada.

Other target locations include General Trias City and one in the municipality of Kawit.

The ISLA Events Center is managed by Sharon Dueñas and Evelyn Pajo-Esquillona, who are both familiar faces to old Island Cove clients, having served in the frontlines of its sales team.
