The Quezon City government fully supports the ongoing investigation of the PNP-PDEA Board of Inquiry into the shootout involving anti-illegal drug operatives of the PNP and PDEA last night.

What happened was highly deplorable, as it endangered the lives and safety of our QCitizens, and disrupted the peace and commerce in the area.

The authorities can expect the city government’s full cooperation, and will extend a helping hand if necessary, in order to ferret out the truth.

The public, meanwhile, should refrain from spreading misinformation and disinformation on the incident, pending the results of the probe.

We hope that the PNP and PDEA will come up with a protocol to avert such an unfortunate incident in the future.
