Toni Yulo-Loyzaga nominated as DENR chief

President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. has nominated Toni Yulo-Loyzaga for the top post of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), Malacañang announced Tuesday, July 12.

“The President has nominated Ms. Ma. Antonia “Toni” Yulo-Loyzaga as Secretary of the Environment and Natural Resources. Her nomination will still be subject to the fulfillment of the required documents,” Press Secretary Trixie Cruz- Angeles said.

Loyzaga is the president of the National Resilience Council, served as the chairperson of the International Advisory Board of the Manila Observatory, executive director at the Manila Observatory, and technical adviser of the Philippine Disaster Resilience Foundation.

She is also on the senior advisory board of the Armed Forces of the Philippines’ Command and General Staff College. – With report from Mela Lesmoras/AG – gb
